In 1990, I recorded these prayers for my daughter ANAHITA (when she was a year old) with the hope that it will guide her to learn the Avesta prayers along with its meaning.
As a result, ANAHITA was able to pray at an early age of 16-months, simply by listening to these prayers before bedtime.
My good friend Rohinton Rivetna - the then President of FEZANA, was visiting my home and was amazed to see Anahita pray so beautifully at our dinner table.
He encouraged me to do a mass production of NAVZOTE MASTER for the children of our North American Zarathushti community and allow FEZANA to sponsor it.
This suggestion was supported by my good friend Dr. Rustom Kevala - the then Treasurer of FEZANA because at that time, there was no other prayer cassette program, which provided the same benefit of learning prayers along with its word-by-word meanings.
Thus, on March 21, 1992, this program
was officially sponsored by FEZANA and shared with the North American
and World Zarathushti Community.
To-date, thousands of Zarathushti parents and children across the globe have benefited from this work that is close to my heart and spirit.
The funds collected from this PRAYER
program in North America and world-wide were donated for Zoroastrian
Youth Leadership Programs including the
WESTMINSTER, CALIFORNIA, USA.
